Pariswi Tewari, MS2:

Pariswi was born in Kathmandu, Nepal and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. She studied Integrative Human Biology and English as an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley. After college, Pariswi worked as a clinical health policy researcher for Stanford Medicine and a patient care coordinator for Oakland's Native American Health Center. As a student of the UCSF- UC Berkeley Joint MD/ MS Program (JMP), Pariswi is now finishing her master's research on the barriers to/facilitators of high-quality care for non-English proficient patients at ZSFGH's OASIS and Minor Procedures Clinic. Pariswi is passionate about reconstructive cancer care and advancing equitable healthcare. In her free time, Pariswi enjoys exploring the myriad local coffee shops and spending time with her loved ones.
Daniel Rouhani, MS2:

Daniel Rouhani is currently a medical student at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. Originally from Athens, Georgia, he graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Genetics. Following his undergraduate studies, he completed a clinical research fellowship at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has a strong interest in the intersection of healthcare innovation, plastic surgery, and art.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Daniel founded ExonScientific, a scientific visualization company aimed at enhancing the communication of scientific discoveries through advanced 3D design. His work has been featured in Forbes and displayed on the covers of leading scientific journals such as Science, Nature, and Cell. He is passionate about integrating 3D computational design into plastic surgery, particularly with a focus on reconstructive and craniofacial applications.
In addition, Daniel serves as the Chief Scientific Officer at SYLKE Inc., a medical device company pioneering the use of silk fibroin biomaterials for wound healing. In this role, he oversees all research and development operations, manages clinical trials, and leads research collaborations with various academic centers across the United States.
Fabian Ramirez, MS2:

Fabian Ramirez (he/him) is a first-year medical student at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. Originally from El Paso, Texas, he now calls Los Angeles home. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Johns Hopkins University. During his undergraduate years, he conducted basic science research focused on cell migration signaling pathways, which deepened his passion for science.
Fabian is drawn to the field of Plastic Surgery because of its unique combination of art, shaping, and science, offering opportunities for creative medical interventions. He aspires to become a physician shaped by his heritage, academic interests, and the insights gained from his patients, one whose purpose extends beyond simply alleviating pain. Outside of his academic pursuits, Fabian enjoys practicing the cello, painting or knitting, and going on runs through Golden Gate Park.
Austin McBride, MS2:

Austin McBride (he/him) is originally from Denver, Colorado and graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Sciences and a minor in LGBTQ+ Studies. He is a second-year medical student at the University of California, San Francisco and conducts research within the VISTA Lab under Dr. Esther Kim, where his work focuses on gender-affirming surgery and patient-reported outcomes. Austin’s academic interests lie in gender-affirming care and the advancement of surgical equity, particularly for LGBTQ+ patient populations. He also volunteers at a respite center for individuals living with HIV/AIDS and those recovering from gender-affirming surgery. Outside of academics and clinical work, Austin enjoys singing, playing pickleball, rock climbing, and hosting Survivor watch parties.
