Biography
Jaclyn Cusano is a physician assistant who cares for patients having plastic or reconstructive surgery. She helps evaluate and prepare patients for surgery, sees patients for postoperative appointments and assists in the operating room. She has special interests in transgender health, breast reconstruction (following surgery to treat cancer) and cosmetic surgery.
After earning a bachelor's degree in psychology at Roanoke College, Cusano earned a master's degree in physician assistant studies at Quinnipiac University. Before joining UCSF, she worked in Pasadena, California, caring for children having surgery to treat severe scoliosis, cerebral palsy, or other conditions that affect mobility or joint range of motion.
Cusano is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, San Francisco Bay Area Physician Assistants and California Academy of Physician Assistants.
