    Biography

    Dr. Zhou obtained her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed her Plastic Surgery residency training at Stanford University. To enhance her proficiency, she pursued advanced microsurgical fellowship training at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, focusing on breast reconstruction, lymphedema surgery, head and neck reconstruction, and complex microsurgical reconstruction.

    At UCSF, Dr. Zhou will concentrate her clinical practice on various breast reconstruction techniques, including implants, autologous tissue transfer, combination and stacked flap reconstruction, and hybrid approaches. Additionally, she is committed to expanding UCSF's lymphedema program, offering a comprehensive, multimodal approach to lymphedema care, including immediate lymphatic reconstruction.

    Dr. Zhou's research endeavors are focused on optimizing outcomes for breast reconstruction patients, exploring innovative techniques for lymphedema prevention, and conducting outcomes research in lymphedema. She is also deeply committed to surgical education, both locally and internationally, and has a particular interest in global plastic surgery initiatives. Dr. Zhou has actively participated in medical mission trips abroad, delivering reconstructive surgical care to underserved populations, and intends to continue this meaningful work.
